Key responsibilities:

  • Strategically develop new customers (lead generation, pricing, follow up) to increase company profitability
  • Pursue, build, and develop relationships with a focus on consistent revenue growth
  • Maintain continuous knowledge of market conditions, industry developments, and industry networking
  • Build a base of customers through research and cold calls
  • Negotiate rates with customer and potential customers
  • Onboard new accounts

Skills/Abilities:

  • Established Book of Business
  • Experience working with Intermodal Marketing Company (IMC)
  • 2- 4 years of sales experience within Freight Brokerage
  • Excellent communication (written/verbal), strategic thinking, presentation, and "people" skills
  • Superior interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong work ethic, time management skills and ability to learn quickly
  • Must be a self-starter, organized and have an ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to add to a high-energy, fast-paced, and positive work environment
  • Strong analytical skills, organizational skills, with attention to detail required
  • Strong achievement orientation with creative problem solving and innovative mindset
